Description
The three mile (5 km) sweep of sand at Rhossili Bay, known locally as Llangennith (or Llangynydd) Sands viewd from the southern end. The tiny stick-like object projecting from the sand at seven-o'clock from the white farmhouse is all that remains of the wreck of the Helvetia, which ran aground on the beach in a storm on October 31, 1887, with no loss of life.
