Description
A 1930s Welta Garant camera. Unfortunately someone has broken the shutter firing lever, but it still works with a cable release. This took 6x9cm negatives on 120 rollfilm. I got it because I was interested in the performance of the Trotar lens, but in the end I never used it as - in addition to the shutter problem - the front standard allows the shutter to wobble slightly, suggesting that it will not produce sharp images. Perhaps, one day.
This was shot using a Pentacon Six medium format camera, a type that was designed in 1955, and Fomapan 200 black and white film. The quality is not perfect but I believe it meets the professional standards expected in the era these cameras were made, which was the objective of the project.
