Description
A 1950s folding Zeiss Ikon Nettar, Model 518/2, with a snazzy space-age chrome finish and a double-exposure lock to prevent people accidentally forgetting to wind on to the next frame. The Novar Anastigmat is a simple three-lens set-up and its "slow" speed of f/6.3 shows that this was at the cheaper end of the range of options. It is still a capable camera in good light.
This photo was shot using a Pentacon Six medium format camera, a type that was designed in 1955, and Fomapan 200 black and white film. The quality is not perfect but I believe it meets the professional standards expected in the era these cameras were made, which was the objective of the project.
