Qatar's Souq Waqif shopping area, build in the traditional style to the same plan as an oder souq that had flourished there for more than a century. The paved floor replaced mud or cement in the original, which was roofed with canvas, but the shops are much the same as before.
The woman shopping is blurred by the long exposure of a second or so, on this medium format black and white film photograph.
